Giardini Leather Edge Paint

Giardini Leather Edge Paint

GIARDINI Leather Edge paint

1   Lightly sand the edge for painting with fine grit sandpaper.

2   Basecoat

This paint should only be used as a first layer and its purpose is to prepare the leather edge for the colouring phases. Basecoat Dense could be applied both by hand and by automatic machine. Once it is completely dried it could be sanded or brushed, in order to get a very smooth leather edge surface. Repeat this process again if needed to build a smooth edge.

3   Paint

Once basecoat is fully dried apply the desired colour. Remember that all colours can be mixed to attain your desired colour tone. No sanding is necessary at this step although if you need to smooth the surface again you can do so again with fine sandpaper once it is dry.

4   Topcoat

If you desire a long-lasting effect or an extra gloss or Matte finish, GIARDINI recommend you additionally paint over the coloured edge using either the Protecting Gloss or Extra Matte finishing products. We stock both products on our website. www.dreamybaghardware.com.au

 5  Cleaning

Giardini have made a specialised cleaner to clean off excess paint and to clean up your painting tools.

6  Step back and admire your work!!
